VALLEY TREKKING
Mai Chau is located in Hoa Binh province, approximately 135km from Hanoi and 60km from Hoa Binh. Mai Chau area is filled with towering limestone karsts, green mountains and lush fields yet is rarely visited. Joining this trip, you will be taken by the breathtaking natural beauty along the way. Take this opportunity to discover up close the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding mountains, and the lifestyle of the beautiful people of the Thai hill tribe who inhabit this serene valley.
Day 1 : Hanoi – Hoa Binh – Mai Chau (L, D)
- 07.30: Depart 2.5 hours road trip along rolling hill to Hoa Binh province, stopping on some passes, offering travelers an birds’ eye view of the Hoa Binh like landscapes of several Muong villages to learn daily activities, farming and traditional festivals and practices of the Muong ethnic group
- After lunch, stroll around the hamlets nested in this valley, encounter the villagers weaving cloths by the loom or they are at work – tilling the fields, logging or herding buffalo.
Admire sunset, dinner and overnight as a local of Thai family in a traditional house on stilt. - In the evening, free enjoy the en landscapr here.
Day 2: Hoa Binh – Mai Chau – Hanoi (B, L)
- Awake for breakfast and enjoy the tranquil morning atmosphere of the village. A light trek through the valley will take you past endless fields, through the shadows of the limestone karts and visit other villages – Poong Coong, Chieng Chau.
- After lunch, taking an other road trip back Hanoi.
- 17.00 arrive. Tour ends.
